The Amsterdam Graduate School of Law is part of the Amsterdam Law School of the University of Amsterdam. We offer students a wide variety of specialised courses and have a strong international orientation.

LLM Programmes

The Amsterdam Law School has a long-standing tradition of offering LLM programmes taught in English. This has drawn students from around the world.

Exchange law programme

International students who are interested in going on exchange for a semester to the Amsterdam Law School can either come through an official exchange programme, or as an independent fee-paying student.
Amsterdam Law Practice
At the Amsterdam Law School, students are offered an Experiential Education programme that is unique in the Netherlands. In the Amsterdam Law Practice (ALP), students apply their knowledge of the law to questions from actual practice.

Master the Law
The Amsterdam Law School offers several English-taught Master's in International and European Law, International Criminal Law, Information Law, Law & Finance and European Private Law.

PhD Research

The Amsterdam Law School welcomes talented researchers who want to pursue a doctoral degree. The full-time PhD programme consists mostly of independent research.

The Amsterdam Law School reached an impressive 23rd place in the international 2018 Times Higher Education World University Rankings table for law subjects.
