On the afternoon of Saturday 2 November, the 2013 graduates of the LLM programme in International and European Law and their families, gathered at the Oudemanhuispoort to celebrate their graduation. In small groups they listened to speeches by their former professors and discussed the subjects of their thesis, before they proudly received their diplomas.

Everyone gathered in the main hall again afterwards for drinks and the awards ceremony.  William Byrne LLM and Birte Böök LLM were awarded for best thesis, while Birte also received the prize for highest grade average from the hands of the dean of the faculty, prof. Du Perron.

The graduation day 2013 was a reunion of sorts as well for the graduates, most of whom had not seen each other since before the Summer. Many graduates had already found jobs or internships and were happily updating their former classmates on new developments in their lives.
