Amsterdam Law School welcomes international students

On Thursday August 29 the Amsterdam Law School held orientation for new international students. From Azerbaijan to New Zealand, in total 167 students of 37 different nationalities enrolled in our English-taught LLM programmes and the exchange programme.

The day included a welcome by professor Marjoleine Zieck, vice-dean and director of the Amsterdam Law School, and presentations by the coordinators of the various LLM programmes. After lunch and an explanation of practical matters, the president of the European Law Students Association (ELSA) held a short talk, which was followed by a session on 'dealing with the Dutch and with Amsterdam'. The orientation was concluded with drinks in the courtyard of the Law School building and lasted well into the evening.
